ADD ENVIRONMENT
Creates an Environment, such as DEV or PROD, through an interactive wizard.
Syntax
ADD ENVIRONMENT <id>
Arguments
| Argument | Required | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
<id> | Yes | A new Environment ID, unique ignoring case | None |
Examples
ADD ENVIRONMENT PROD;
Details
It is the command line equivalent of New in the "Environments" tab of the CONFIG window. An Environment is a stage such as DEV, QA or PROD; every connection belongs to one.
The ID
The ID must not exist yet, and the comparison ignores case: PR and pr cannot both exist. An ID used by an inactive Environment is refused with a message pointing at EDIT ENVIRONMENT, which reactivates it.
The wizard
The command asks for a Description (optional), Production [y/n] (y or yes marks it as a production Environment, any other answer does not) and a Comment (optional), then Save Environment [y/n/c]?: y saves, n starts again, and any other answer stops without saving.
