Requirements

  • Java 21 or later (a JRE is enough).
  • Windows, the primary platform, or Linux. On Linux the graphical CONFIG screen is not available.
  • Drivers for H2, PostgreSQL, Derby, HSQLDB and SQLite are included; for another database, add its JDBC driver: see Connect to your database.

First steps

  1. Unzip it, for example to C:\BroadSQL.
  2. Start connect.bat (Windows) or ./broadsql.sh (Linux).
  3. Type the master password, then CONNECT WORLD; to try the sample database.
