ADD GROUP
Creates a Database Group, through an interactive wizard.
Syntax
ADD GROUP <id>
Arguments
| Argument | Required | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
<id> | Yes | A new Database Group ID | None |
Examples
ADD GROUP TAT;
Details
It is the command line equivalent of New in the "Database Groups" tab of the CONFIG window. A Database Group gathers the connections of one database in its different Environments (for example the DEV, QA and PROD connections of one application), so that ENV can switch between them.
The ID
The ID must not exist yet, active or inactive. An ID used by an inactive Database Group is refused with a message pointing at EDIT GROUP, which reactivates it.
The wizard
The command asks for a Description and a Comment, both optional, then Save Database Group [y/n/c]?: y saves, n starts again, and any other answer stops without saving.
